DB Netz AG is undertaking extensive construction work in spring 2023 to improve the network quality in the German Corner area (corridor route). It will affect connections from Salzburg to Tyrol and connections from Vienna/Graz/Klagenfurt to Munich in both directions. Deviations in train traffic will mainly occur on weekends from 17 February to presumably 2 May 2023.

Rail replacement services and diversions
It is a special concern for ÖBB to keep the restrictions for travellers as low as possible. ÖBB is preparing alternative measures, such as rail replacement services with buses and diversions.
There will be total closures at the Deutsche Eck on four weekends (11 to 13 March, 31 March to 2 April, 21 to 24 April, and 28 April to 2 May). These closures will require both a rail replacement service with buses for long-distance traffic and diversions at Nightjets.

ÖBB will provide detailed information before the individual closures.
