De Telegraaf and Reuters initially reported the collision between a passenger train and a freight train, but photographs from the scene show the derailed carriages of the passenger train. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Paramedics are on the scene assisting dozens of passengers. Some of them are being taken to hospitals with serious injuries.
