For the Corpus Christi holiday on June 16, many Austrians can look forward to a long weekend. ÖBB is therefore again expecting a high volume of travel and is providing over 13,000 more seats on the West and Südbahn lines. These will be made possible by additional trains and buses, and existing trains will also be reinforced.

ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG board member Sabine Stock: "Also on the next long weekend, rail travellers should be able to travel casually instead of stressfully with ÖBB. The increased seat capacities ensure a relaxed journey, as do early seat reservations. We continue to recommend these in any case."

All passengers are asked to plan their journey accordingly and to inform themselves in advance about the capacity utilization of trains (e.g. via the ÖBB timetable information SCOTTY or ÖBB Live) and plan their journey accordingly.

Relaxed journey with seat reservation
Passengers get a guaranteed seat on the desired train if they make a reservation in advance. Reservations in ÖBB trains within Austria are available for as little as € 3,- online via tickets.oebb.at, in the ÖBB App, at the ÖBB ticket counter and the ÖBB Kund:innenservice under 05-1717.

People who own a climate ticket can book favourable seat reservation subscriptions (20/50/100 pieces) for 2nd class, 1st class or business class. More information is available at oebb.at.
