Comfortable and flexible from the ÖBB Education Campus to the destination with ÖBB Rail&Drive - this car-sharing service is offered by ÖBB not only to training participants and employees of the ÖBB Education Campus but also to external customers.

As of now, two vehicles are available at the location, the electric vehicle Seat Mii and a VW Golf of the latest generation. The car-sharing cars are located directly in front of the entrance barrier to the education campus at Kollerbergweg 6.

Rail&Drive is now at 42 locations in 35 cities

The car sharing service ÖBB Rail&Drive continues to expand and, with the location at the ÖBB education campus in St. Pölten, is now represented at 42 locations in 35 cities throughout Austria. Currently, 16,000 customers are registered with ÖBB Rail&Drive. They can choose from a total of around 400 vehicles.

In Lower Austria, the ÖBB Bildungscampus is the tenth Rail&Drive location, following Amstetten, Korneuburg, Krems, Mistelbach, Wiener Neustadt, Tulln, Tullnerfeld and Waidhofen an der Ybbs.

Focus on e-mobility

With immediate effect, electric charging stations with around 50 e-vehicles are available at 22 locations throughout Austria with the ÖBB Bildungscampus, and the trend is rising sharply. They offer customers a sustainable mobility chain and environmentally friendly solutions for the first and last mile.

Advantages of ÖBB Rail&Drive

The possibility of booking a car for the last kilometers in Vienna and the provincial capitals as well as in smaller cities makes rail travel more and more attractive. The advantages are obvious:

  • locations throughout Austria
  • different types of vehicles depending on requirements
  • fair prices depending on the individual rental period and distance,
  • pick-up and return of the vehicle are possible at any time,
  • round-the-clock telephone support.

Simple registration

To use the service of ÖBB Rail&Drive, customers can simply register online at railanddrive.at or in the wegfinder app. Directly after that, a vehicle can already be booked. Before setting off for the first time, users must complete their registration once they're at an ÖBB Rail&Drive sales office, present their driver's license and pick up their customer card. The trips are billed based on a graduated time and kilometer tariff.

Exclusive start bonus

Customers with an ÖBB Österreichcard, an ÖBB Vorteilscard, or the Klimaticket will receive the registration fee of 19.90 Euro as a starter bonus. Members of ÖAMTC or ARBÖ, as well as annual ticket holders of Wiener Linien, also receive the registration free of charge.
