In 2022, ÖBB Rail Tours ensures comfortable summer tourism by launching the combined ticket Im Nightjet in die Berge (In the Nightjet to the mountains) and making it available to 18 tourist regions of Tyrol from May 1 to October 31. It includes a climate-friendly journey on a modern night train and a shuttle from the station to the accommodation and back. Among others, the route-planning and navigation app Komoot has partnered with ÖBB Rail Tours, which allows the company to provide guests with perfect cycling and hiking deals with online maps.

Packages including rail travel, the "Peace by Komoot" package for EUR 29.99 and transfers are now available from and to Hamburg, Düsseldorf or Amsterdam for the Tyrolean tourist regions of St. Anton am Arlberg, Stubai, Wildschönau, Alpbachtal, Wilder Kaiser, St. Johann in Tirol, Kitzbüheler Alpen - Brixental, Kitzbühel, Kitzbüheler Alpen - Hohe Salve vacation region, PillerseeTal, Silberregion Karwendel, Kaiserwinkl, Kufsteinerland and for Zillertal. In 2022, the Olympic region Seefeld, Achensee, the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena and the Wipptal are included for the first time.

"With this offer, we are taking into account the desire of our guests, but also of the vacation regions, to combine the environmentally friendly journey with the transfer to the accommodation and a real goodie!", says Eva Buzzi, Managing Director of ÖBB Rail Tours.

Since 2012, the provincial tourism organization and its mobility and tourism partners have been carrying out activities to strengthen public transport as part of the Tirol auf Schiene (Tyrol on Rail) initiative.

"The topic of sustainable travel is very close to our hearts. Offers like In the Nightjet to the mountains help us in our efforts to bring even more guests by rail because the product is convenient to book and takes the entire mobility chain into account," emphasizes Tirol Werbung Managing Director Florian Phleps.

He states that this solution is "an additional contribution to ease the burden on Tyrol's roads and our climate, especially since guests can count on a wide range of public transport services here in the province."
