Launched a year ago by PKP Intercity, the "Cheaper with Relatives" promotion has been a resounding success, facilitating the purchase of 3.6 million tickets and welcoming more than 8.7 million passengers.

Further enhancing its popularity, the offer can be combined with statutory concessions, allowing entitled passengers even greater savings. The deal also extends to include journeys in coach berths, affectionately known as "couchettes," and sleeping cars. Notably, the discount is applicable to domestic TLK and IC category trains, offering cost-effective group travel that competes favourably with car journeys. Tickets, which must be procured a day before departure, are available up to 30 days in advance via ticket offices and online channels.

However, "Cheaper with Relatives" isn't the only attractive promotion offered by the carrier. The Family Ticket, designed for groups of 2 to 5 people inclusive of a child under 16, also provides a 30% discount and is valid on express EIC and EIP trains. Furthermore, children under 4 enjoy a 100% discount in 2nd class carriages, while older children and students are eligible for a 37% statutory discount. The carrier also implements a dynamic price management system through the Promo offer, encouraging savvy travellers to plan and purchase tickets in advance, potentially securing a ticket for a connection between Warsaw and Krakow or Gdansk for as little as PLN 49 on an EIP train, or as low as PLN 19 on TLK and IC category trains.
