UWC has received a certificate for a flatcar model 13-6724 and has started to fulfill the contract for the supply of 1,000 units. to the address of the transport company Laude Smart Intermodal (Poland).

UWC and Laude Smart Intermodal signed a contract for the development of a new platform in the fall of 2020. The design of the car was developed by specialists from the All-Union Research and Development Centre for Transportation Technology (part of UWC). At the production site of the UWC holding in Tikhvin, prototypes were built, which by the end of 2020 passed a full range of stationery, resource, and running tests. In the second quarter of 2021, the procedure for putting the car into production was completed and a certificate of compliance of the model 13-6724 car with the requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "On the safety of railway rolling stock" was received.

The car model 13-6724 is the first platform in the 1520 mm gauge space with a loading length of 46 feet (slightly more than 14 m) and a carrying capacity of 80 tons. European countries.

The economic effect of using such a platform is achieved both due to the increased carrying capacity of the car, and due to the larger volume of transported containers, the length of which has been increased from 20 to 23 feet. This container can hold 13 pallets of 1000 × 1200 mm, while the standard 20-foot container holds only 11 pallets. When transporting heavy loads, for example, metal structures, using such containers, the mass of the transported goods will be 74.6 tons, which is 10% more than what is permissible when using analogs on the market.

Laude Smart Intermodal has 40-foot platforms that run between Russia and Poland, as well as platforms of the Sgmmns type for transporting large-capacity containers across the EU. The company plans to continue replenishing its fleet with cars manufactured by UWC.
