The list of countries to which it exports its locomotives will soon round to twenty. In addition to high product quality and customer relationships, a technologically flexible interchangeable package system enabling the installation of batteries as a green alternative to the diesel internal combustion engine competes with the competition.

Cargo on the Adriatic Sea

EffiShunter 1000 locomotives have been type-approved in Slovenia and can thus be fully deployed. The locomotives, marked as the 646 series in Slovenia, will be used mainly on the shunting services.

For example, the 646.001 is operated at the Koper cargo station and provides shunting services at the local seaport as well. The Koper port operator then uses another locomotive with the marking 646.101 when operating the port.

The locomotives were personally taken over by the General Director of SŽ - Tovorni promet, Mrs. Melita Rozman Dacar. The manufacturer was represented by the head of the CZ LOKO sales team, Ľubomír Dlábik,

CZ LOKO also provides for its customer's training and coaching of technicians and drivers of delivered locomotives. The team from the Technical Department performed such training for the mentioned EffiShunter 1000 locomotive in the Slovenian Port of Koper / Luka Koper.

Go green at the Arctic Circle

The producer from the Czech Republic is doing well commercially even in significantly colder or arctic conditions. The list of countries to which CZ LOKO exports its locomotives will soon be rounded to twenty. The next EffiShunter 1000 will run in Sweden, albeit in the colors of the Norwegian company Trainpoint Norway.

CZ LOKO locomotives are already running beyond the Arctic Circle. Thanks to the carrier Fenniarail from Finland, the producer has experience with the operation of EffiShunter 1600 locomotives in temperatures below - 40 ° C.

"We see the great market potential in Sweden and Norway. We know from negotiations with Trainpoint Norway that there are more than a hundred, often decades-old, locomotives. Their operation will become more and more demanding not only due to age but also the absence of ETCS. These locomotives will need to be replaced in the coming years, "says Jan Kutálek, Sales Director of CZ LOKO.

The whole of Scandinavia is trying to protect its environment and use green technologies. It is only a matter of time before Sweden bans diesel cars, so it can be assumed that we will see the same development on the railways as well.

"We like the interchangeable packet system. In the future, we expect to replace the internal combustion engine with batteries. We also appreciate that CZ LOKO has started working on a new generation of green locomotives, such as the HybridShunter 400 and DualShunter 2000, ”concludes Hans Sørum from Trainpoint Norway.
