There is no doubt that the 7th IRFC Conference is the most important railway event of the Czech EU Presidency. It will bring together Europe's top rail leaders to discuss trends or challenges in the sector. And the fourth session will be dedicated to high-speed rail.
European rail transport is facing an important event. Prague will host the International Rail Forum and Conference (IRFC) from 5-7 October, with several leading speakers from the Czech and international scenes. The conference is thematically divided into five sections. In previous articles we informed you about the content of the first and third sections - you can find them here and here. The first three sessions will thus focus on interoperability, railways in the post-Covid era, and research and innovation.

The topic will be none other than high-speed rail and will take place on the afternoon of the second day of the conference. The moderator of the whole session will be Jiří Svoboda, Director General of the Railway Administration. And who will contribute to the debate on VRT? Presentations will be made by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, French railways SNCF, Austrian ÖBB, and the business model of high-speed transport in Japan will be explained by a guest from East Japan Railway Company.
