On 8 July, Rail Cargo Hungaria organised one of the highest-level events of the Hungarian railway society, the award ceremony on the 72. Railway Day. The significance of the occasion was increased by the fact that, after the restrictions of the past two years, the company's management was able to present the awards to the colleagues according to previous traditions.

At the event, the company welcomed Dr László Palkovics, Minister of Technology and Industry, Dávid Vitézy, State Secretary for Transport and Dr Éva Kállai Deputy State Secretary for Transport. The government's high-ranking representation also confirms its commitment to increasing the competitiveness of rail freight and their appreciation for the role of RCH and the Hungarian subsidiaries of RCG in the Hungarian economy.

Dr László Palkovics confirmed in his speech that the railway developments and investments should turn Hungary into the freight transport, logistics and goods distribution centre of Central Europe. He thanked the colleagues of RCH for their work and emphasized that the relationship between Austria and Hungary will continue to strengthen in the future.

Dávid Vitézy stressed that the Ministry firmly believes in the great future of rail freight transport. This is the most sustainable and environmentally friendly way of conveying goods within Hungary and between continents, especially between Europe and Asia.

Imre Kovács, Board Member of Rail Cargo Group, Chairman of the Board of Rail Cargo Hungaria, and Norbert Körös, Board Member of Rail Cargo Hungaria, CEO thanked their colleagues for their dedicated work and their commitment, with which they continuously support the company in achieving its goals. The management presented the awards to 35 employees for their outstanding achievements. Two of them were also awarded by the Minister of Technology and Industry.
