On Friday, September 24, Gdańsk ended the 14th International Railway Fair TRAKO 2021 - the most important meeting of the railway segment this year. The organizers of the fair are very satisfied with the event, Amberexpo was visited by 23,000 participants from 39 countries and over 500 exhibitors from around the world. At the same time, the organizers are already inviting those interested to the 15th annual Trako trade fair, which will take place in two years, on 19-22 September in Gdańsk.
‘‘ For the organizers of the fair, the most important are the impressions of exhibitors and participants, the business effect after the fair and also the attendance. The numbers of completed TRAKO fairs are a positive surprise for everyone. This year's TRAKO enjoyed even more interest from the railway industry than the previous year before the pandemic, "says Andrzej Bojanowski - CEO of Międzynarodowe Targi Gdańskie SA.
The last day of events at AMBEREXPO belonged to employers and their potential employees. On Friday, the Day of Education and Careers was organized at the fair, which was organized for the third time. 1,300 people, mostly high school and university students, applied for this year's competition. They had the opportunity to speak directly and obtain information from companies that participate in the fair, and throughout the day they could attend lectures and workshops dedicated to real people looking for work in the field.
"TRAKO is this year's largest event in the transport industry in Europe and it was seen in Gdańsk. The number of exhibitors and the number of visitors to the fair made a great impression. Such great interest in the event certainly stems from current trends - fashion for the railways, which is the best because it is the safest, most environmentally friendly and most durable means of transport. Today, one more word is associated with the railways - development. Numerous rolling stock premieres, debates and conferences took place at Trako, "said Krzysztof Mamiński, Chairman of the Board of PKP S.A. and at the same time the chairman of the International Union of Railways (UIC).
News from the fair in Gdańsk was widely presented by the Polish and foreign media. The event was accredited by 130 journalists among others (from Poland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Ukraine and Romania).
