How would you generally describe working in the Balkan region?
The Balkan region is very competitive. There are a lot of producers, not all of them are in the Balkans, but our market, in general, has very strong competition. We are very small players in this branch, and we have to fight bigger players to get some tenders and some new business for us. So, it’s very hard to do business in this region.
What are the products and innovations that you currently offer?
Our company was founded in 1970. We started to produce electrical locomotives. In 2005, we started to produce our first tram, so we changed the name of our company from Končar Electric Locomotives to Končar Electric Vehicles. In 2010, we launched our first electrical multiple units, our first train. These are our main products. As I said, we are developing hybrid trains, some battery trains, and track recording cars for our operations in railway infrastructure. These would be our main products.
