Milan is preparing to welcome the railway world. EXPO Ferroviaria 2025 will soon bring together experts, companies, and innovators to showcase the latest technologies and debate the future of rail.

For more than 20 years, the EXPO Ferroviaria trade fair has been a key meeting point for professionals and companies in the railway sector. In 2025, the event will take place from 30 September to 2 October at the Fiera Milano Rho exhibition centre in Milan. It will once again provide opportunities to explore the latest technologies, products and trends, as well as to establish new business cooperation.

Rail Technology, Tunnels and Startups at EXPO Ferroviaria

The exhibition covers all essential areas of railway technology, from rolling stock and track infrastructure to signalling and communication systems. Among the products on display will be vehicles for long-distance and regional transport, metros and trams, as well as vehicle components. Materials for track construction and maintenance, traction and electrification equipment, terminal facilities for freight logistics and passenger ticketing systems will also be presented.

One of the main attractions is the outdoor On-Track Display, where visitors can see railway vehicles and equipment directly on the tracks. New for 2025 is the Innovation Hub, dedicated to startups with breakthrough solutions, and the Aerospace Technologies Hub, which will showcase synergies between aviation and rail technology. A dedicated section will also highlight tunnelling and underground infrastructure.

EXPO Ferroviaria 2025: Education and Networking in the Rail Industry

EXPO Ferroviaria is not only about exhibiting products. The programme includes conferences, seminars, technical presentations, workshops and international B2B meetings, where experts will discuss current issues and prepare for the future of rail transport. The fair promotes cooperation between manufacturers, suppliers, operators and academia.

For anyone interested in rail transport and modern technologies, EXPO Ferroviaria 2025 is an ideal opportunity for inspiration, networking and first-hand information on new trends. Paolo Covoni, CEO of Progress Rail, summarised: "The entire railway community takes part in EXPO Ferroviaria. Over these three days, we are able to concentrate meetings that would otherwise take months to arrange."
