Trojhalí Karolina is pulsing today with railway energy and innovation. The prestigious Rail Business Days 2025 has officially returned to Ostrava, running from 10–12 June. With a dynamic programme featuring cutting-edge rail technology, locomotive baptisms, and even steam train rides, this year’s edition promises record attendance from both industry professionals and the general public. RAILTARGET is reporting live from the event.

The Trojhalí Karolina complex has transformed into the beating heart of the railway world. Featuring indoor and outdoor exhibitions, sleek modern trains, and high-profile panel discussions, Rail Business Days 2025 has established itself as one of the most vibrant international railway trade fairs. The organisers anticipate a packed agenda that brings together insights from across the railway ecosystem.

Opening Day: Locomotives, Conferences, and Government Support

The first day of Rail Business Days 2025 kicked off at 9:00 with an official opening ceremony, followed at 10:00 by the main inauguration in Hall 1, hosted by moderator Ondřej Kubala. Key speakers included Czech Minister of Transport Martin Kupka, senior representatives from Správa železnic, Czech Railways (České dráhy), ČD Cargo, and executives from other leading rail and transport companies.

From 10:30, Hall 3 hosted the RAIL BUSINESS DAYS 2025 conference, while the iconic DBCCZ steam train made its appearance at 11:00. This was followed by a series of locomotive christenings: the EffiShunter DBCCZ by CZ Loko at 12:00, and the Vectron MS by METRANS at 12:45. At 13:00, DBCCZ introduced its certified training centre. Between 14:15 and 15:15, a session with the Ministry of Transport focused on supporting Czech transport industries abroad. Another steam ride departs at 15:00, and the day wraps up officially at 18:00, followed by a gala evening in Hall 3 at 19:00, hosted by Iveta Lutovská.

International Programme of Innovation and Networking

The coming days promise a rich mix of exhibitions, technology showcases, and interactive panels. Attendees will explore the latest rail innovations, trends in sustainable transport, and opportunities for cross-border collaboration. The event also offers an ideal platform for networking and business development, fostering a pan-European dialogue across all rail sectors—from infrastructure experts and vehicle manufacturers to government authorities.

Rail Business Days has become a flagship event for the railway sector in Central Europe, praised for its international reach and dynamic format. With a focus on future-ready rail systems, it continues to serve as a catalyst for industry transformation and cooperation across Europe.
