We are all experiencing the more-than-unpleasant impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the economic figures of all companies involved in the railway market. But the lower performance in turnover, profitability, numbers of passengers and tons of cargo is not the only area of what we have to adapt this year. The professional community used to gather annually or bi-annually on national and international events. Would we have to chance to meet each other in person?

Germany – transport logistic Online

This May we were expected to go to Munich again. We will not. The organizers call the fair off in mid-January. Instead, there will be a socially distant version, They say: “transport logistic Online is focused on a high-quality online conference program. The transfer of know-how within the framework of an online conference offers precisely tailored added value from which the international field of participants benefits.” The structure of the digital event neither the detailed program are not known yet, you should find it here, hopefully before the end of February.

Poland – TRAKO

Regarding possible randez-vous in Gdańsk, we have a reason to be more optimistic. Very nice expo venue in the very nice city on the Baltic sea should host the TRAKO fair on September 21st to 24th. There are running refurbishment works on the track next to the venue, so we can expect a better condition of them at the time of the fair. You can register or find more here.

Italy - EXPO Ferroviaria

We will come back from Gdaňsk on Friday and on Monday we should meet again in the north of Italy. As we informed here, the fair should last 3 days, from 28th to 30th of September. The venue is called Fiera Milano Rho, and you can book your stand or subscribe to the e-news here.

OnLine – EuroRail Hub

Recently we bring to you info on the online event to be held on 24th and 25th March. The brands of Railtex, Infrarail, SIFER and EXPO Ferroviaria are joining together to make a new digital appointment “to leverage the synergies between the shows and enable exhibitors, partners and visitors to reconnect and increase business opportunities.” The organizer of the event, Mack-Brooks Exhibitions, said: “The platform will provide an early opportunity to conduct business and set the tone for the live events, all scheduled to take place in the second half of 2021.”

Czech Republic – Czech Raildays

Another optimistic news is coming from Ostrava. Some of you are familiar with the track and exhibition spaces next to the Main railway station. Unluckily, the event last year was postponed, but this year we may meet here again from 15th to 17th of June. The exhibitors are coming mostly from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. You can register, book a stand or just learn more on the official website of the event here.

Romania - Railway Days

The 15th edition of the Railway Days was supposed to take place on the 18th and 19th of November 2020 in Bucharest, at the Baneasa Royal Railway Station. As the largest railway conference and exhibition in Romania, it was supposed to gather about 100 representatives of the railway industry. Nevertheless, the event was postponed and so far we have no information about any possible new date. If you are interested in this event, you should pay attention to the website here.
