"The NATO Summit is a historic event," says Edvinas Kerza, LTG's Director of Business Resilience. "Our team at LTG is focused and working in inter-institutional cooperation to prepare for it. Our preparations for the Summit, scheduled for July 11-12, are centred around two main objectives: ensuring smooth train traffic and enhancing security."
The plan includes raising awareness about potential risks and coping mechanisms across the LTG Group, augmenting security at strategic facilities and railway stations, and rerouting transit train traffic from the Vilnius railway station. The Railway Museum and the Rail Park, situated within the station's premises, will be closed during the Summit.

To accommodate the increased passenger flow between Vilnius and Kaunas on July 11-12, the frequency of peak-hour services on the Vilnius-Kaunas-Vilnius route will be increased. The objective is to promote car-free travel during the Summit and to provide seamless connections between the country's major cities for both passengers and foreign delegation guests.
