The 28th International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf) kicked off on May 31st, 2022, in Münster, Germany, at the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland and will run until June 2nd. What was such an important event dedicated to?

The International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf) offered a broad overview of the latest technology, equipment and machinery, and the RAILTARGET team was pleased to announce that we were the official media partner of the event. With our professional studie on-site, we were able to bring you several photo reports you can look back at with us:

This trade fair was incredibly influential in the railway technology and infrastructure fields. It presented the latest developments and technologies in the sector, which brought together experts and representatives of the international railway infrastructure to discuss the scope and potential for further development of the area.

The iaf offered the opportunity to establish international business contacts for over 140 exhibitors and over 25,000 visitors from over 60 countries. As a special highlight, the organisers welcomed Poland as this year's guest country. With this, the association acknowledged the positive development of the Polish railway infrastructure and the planned modernisation steps in the coming years.

VDEI President Dr Thomas Mainka welcomed the guests of honour, exhibitors and visitors during the opening ceremony. "I am delighted that so many of you have remained loyal to the fair and are contributing to the success of the iaf through your participation. It also fills me with pride that there are once again many impressive world premieres to be seen at the fair," said Mainka.

The exhibition took up 15,000 m2 of hall space in the Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland, 6,000 m2 of outdoor space and over 3,000 m of track at the Münster Ost railway station.
