"This is a huge game changer for the rail industry," said one presenter during the tour. The DAC project, launched two years ago, aims to improve efficiency and safety in rail freight while pushing for standardized systems across Europe.
On day one, the opening ceremony touched on the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the rail industry. Dr. Richard Lutz, CEO of Deutsche Bahn AG, spoke about AI’s potential to enhance operations at a relatively low cost, while noting the need for regulation, especially in areas like facial recognition.
