This year's largest trade fair in the transport sector InnoTrans 2022 has ended. Hundreds of booths and dozens of events could be visited in the vast Messe Berlin complex. The RAILTARGET editorial team was on site to inform you about the most important events of the fair. But this is not the end of the coverage and the series of articles will continue. We start with an introductory photo gallery.

We have prepared a series of articles to give you more details about the event. The first one presented the most basic information about the fair, in the second article we covered the most exciting events you can visit. Then we introduced the foreign and Czech exhibitors whose stands are worth a visit. The following article was about interesting new technologies you can see and possibly experience. And in the penultimate article before the event, we summarised this information for you the day before the event itself.

So many new technologies, personalities, and leading companies in the transport sector rarely come together in one place. We learned a lot of exciting information about the current problems and challenges of the railway sector. The main theme was undoubtedly the digitalization of the railway, which permeated the entire fair right from the opening ceremony. Top representatives from transport operators, and national and EU representatives agreed that digitalization is a challenge, but it can help the railway significantly. Another big theme, which was not just about rail, was ecology and alternative propulsion. It was clear that the transport sector is moving forward in these areas.

This is not the end of the series of articles on InnoTrans 2022. In the coming weeks, we will continue with interviews with top figures from the transport sector or the European Union or articles on individual events and technologies.
