InnoTrans 2022 (20.-23.9.) starts tomorrow! It is one of the most important events in the transport sector this year. You can expect a rich program where you will learn about the latest trends in this sector. RAILTRAGET editorial team is writing a series of articles for this fair, which will soon continue directly at the event itself.
In the opening article, we provided background information on the entire InnoTrans 2022, i.e., when and where the event will take place, how many visitors or exhibitors you can expect, and what you will be able to experience. On 200,000 m², you will see the latest technologies in the transport sector and also learn about current trends. The opening ceremony starts on 20 September at 10:00.
The following article focuses on the most interesting events you can visit during the fair, and there are many of them. There is also a Czech representation and on the very first day (20.9.) you can visit Škoda Group and their presentation of the new Škoda ForCity Smart 36T tram at 13:00. Equally interesting will be the event of the company STADLER, which on the same day at 15:00 will present its FLIRT AKKU train, powered by batteries! On the second day (21 September), VOITH will present its new hydrogen tanks, which have twice the capacity of the existing ones, at 10:00. And on the topic of railway safety, UNIFE will hold a digital forum on the third day (22 September) at 10:00 on ERTMS - a building block on the road to a digital and autonomous railway.
The third article of the series presented a selection of the most interesting international exhibitors and their stands. Among them are ALSTOM, which deals with solutions for a low-carbon future and sustainable transport, the German national carrier DB, the brake system manufacturer Knorr-Bremse, the Slovak rail freight carrier BUDAMAR LOGISTICS and the leasing company RAILPOOL. It was followed by another article, which focused on the Czech representation at the fair. You will be able to visit the stand of AŽD Praha, where you will see the remote control dispatching workstation, BONATRANS GROUP and its voltage-optimized BONA320 wheel for freight wagons, DT-Výhybkárna a strojírna, which is working on the intelligent Switch 4.0, manufacturers from the WALBO GROUP or the OLTIS Group.
The previous article showed the interesting new technologies you can see at the fair. For example, it will be the KMC4ETCS from Thales Cables in the field of cyber security, the key management center for the European train protection system. There will also be an introduction to the latest locomotives from the SIEMENS Mobility stable, which you can see at their outdoor stand. ALSTOM will offer its technology solutions for automatic train operation.
