The finals of the first year of the 'Miss Švestková Dráha' (Miss Plum Runway) competition took place at the Castle in Litoměřice. It was the first ever election of Miss Railway-themed. After two preliminary rounds held in Most and Litoměřice, 12 finalists and three alternates were selected.

"I don't even know what to say. I absolutely didn't expect it because there were a lot of great girls here with me. Actually, they were all amazing. So it's a really big surprise for me," admitted the winner Aneta Svárovská from Most, who let it be known that she plans to take a summer holiday and invest in a driving licence in return for her winnings.

The director of Miss Plum Runway 2023 is also AŽD's public relations manager Adam Kalous. Apart from him, the competition also received patronage from the Governor of the Ústí nad Labem Region, Jan Schiller. According to the Governor's words, it is necessary to assert above all that the Plum Railway is a good project and has a great future in the Ústí nad Labem Region. "We also want to follow the path of protecting the environment as much as possible in the transport sector. AŽD has a lot of wonderful projects ahead of it, and I look forward to developing them in this direction," Schiller noted.

However, despite the high public interest, we will not see the next edition until three or even four years from now. It is not a national competition. "We will prepare other interesting events and programmes for other age categories. We want people to leave their cars at home and ride with us and make the Plum Track attractive. We want to offer the winners a longer-term interesting cooperation. Thank you to everyone who participated in the organisation and, of course, to the girls who had the courage to enter," explained AŽD CEO Zdeněk Chrdle.
