EXPO Ferroviaria 2025 will return to Milan from 30 September to 2 October, featuring cutting-edge rail technologies, tunnelling solutions, startup hubs and international networking opportunities.
For over 20 years, EXPO Ferroviaria has been a cornerstone event for companies and professionals in the railway industry. The 2025 edition will take place at Fiera Milano Rho from 30 September to 2 October, offering visitors the chance to discover the latest technologies, products and trends while building new business connections.
Rail Technology, Tunnels and Startups
The exhibition covers the full spectrum of railway technologies — from rolling stock and infrastructure to signalling and communications. On display will be long-distance and regional trains, metro and tram vehicles, and a wide range of components. Exhibits also include materials for track construction and maintenance, traction and electrification systems, freight terminal equipment, and passenger service solutions.
A highlight is the On-Track Display, where visitors can view rolling stock and equipment directly on the tracks. New for 2025 is the Innovation Hub, a platform dedicated to startups with breakthrough solutions, and the Aerospace Technologies Hub, showcasing synergies between aviation and rail. A dedicated section will also focus on tunnel construction and underground infrastructure.
Education and Networking at EXPO Ferroviaria 2025
EXPO Ferroviaria is not only about products but also about knowledge-sharing. The programme includes conferences, seminars, technical presentations, workshops, and international B2B meetings, creating a space for experts to discuss the future of rail transport. The fair strengthens cooperation among manufacturers, suppliers, operators, and academia.
For professionals and enthusiasts interested in railway transport and modern technology, EXPO Ferroviaria 2025 is an ideal opportunity for inspiration, networking, and practical insights into the rail sector. "The entire railway community is involved in EXPO Ferroviaria. Over these three days, we concentrate meetings that would otherwise take months to organise," said Paolo Covoni, CEO of Progress Rail.
