A royal visit to the Port of Hamburg took place over the weekend, with the esteemed presence of His Majesty King Charles III.

The harbour boat tour was a part of his majesty's visit to Germany, and he was accompanied by a distinguished delegation, including Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, First Mayor of Hamburg Dr Peter Tschentscher, HM Foreign Secretary of State Mr James Cleverly, and various other notable figures. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase the port and engage in valuable discussions about ongoing efforts to transition the port into a green energy hub.

The delegation was introduced to several successful projects that have already been initiated and implemented in the Port of Hamburg, such as the certified climate-neutral HHLA Container Terminal Altenwerder and the shore power terminals.

The visit was both an honour and a pleasure for the Port of Hamburg, highlighting the importance of exchanging ideas and showcasing the progress made in transforming the port into an environmentally friendly and sustainable operation.
