Czech Republic and Spain Team Up for Railways Business Forum in Prague

The Czech Republic and Spain are set to enhance their railway collaboration at the upcoming Railways Business Forum, scheduled for May 21, 2024, in Prague.

Hosted by the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, ICEX, and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain, this event will bring together key players from both countries’ railway sectors. The forum aims to facilitate a productive exchange of ideas and experiences and to foster cooperative projects between Czech and Spanish organizations and companies. Officials and stakeholders from various areas of the railway industry, including both public and private sectors, will attend the event.

The forum will spotlight the Czech Republic’s extensive railway network, which is among the densest in the world. The discussion will focus on the country’s current projects and plans, which include upgrading existing lines and constructing new high-speed routes to solidify its role as a central European transport hub. Meanwhile, Spain will share its successes in developing a comprehensive and cost-effective high-speed railway network, which is the most extensive in Europe.

The event will wrap up with keynote speeches, a networking lunch, and business-to-business meetings, providing a platform for ongoing dialogue and potential partnerships in railway development.
