The Assembly of the Czech Chamber of Commerce meets annually, and this year, it also elects its closest leadership or praesidium, consisting of the President and vice presidents. This year's 35th meeting is currently taking place at the O2 Universum in Prague, and we, together with RAILTARGET, are expectedly on site.

Two candidates, Martin Pecina and Zdeněk Zajíček, have run for the position of President, which has been held by Vladimír Dlouhý until now. The five vice-presidents will be selected from among seven candidates: Radek Jakubský, Roman Pommer, Tomáš Prouza and Michal Štefl, who currently hold this position, and the new entrants are Irena Bartonková Pálková, Filip Dvořák and Jana Havrdová. In addition, there will be a discussion on adding one more seat to the praesidium. A bicameral assembly of up to 300 delegates will vote on the winners of the election, with each delegate having one vote, according to the Czech Chamber of Commerce. A supermajority of all valid votes is required to become President.

The current President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce will address the congress and open the programme after the Czech national anthem. Among the guests of honour will be Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Markéta Adamová Pekarová, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and the Deputy Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Karel Havlíček. Marian Jurečka, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Minister of Industry and Trade Josef Síkela and Minister of Finance Zbyněk Stanjura will also address the entrepreneurs. Other guests include Transport Minister Martin Kupka, Education Minister Mikuláš Bek and Bohuslav Svoboda, Mayor of Prague.
