RAILTARGET presents you with an interview with Jan Röhl, CEO of Kruch Railway Innovations. What does the company specialize in, and what did it present at InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin?

Kruch Railway Innovations is an Austrian company developing new products for traction lines, and I am standing here with Jan Röhl, the CEO of the company. Hello!

Hello, nice to meet you!

Nice to meet you too! Are you planning to visit more fairs?

Yes. Exhibitions and fairs are very important for us to show the newest products and get in contact with the customers.

What is the most important thing you're representing here?

We are mainly active in two fields. One is the infrastructure of components, and the other is the electrical simulations of overhead contact lines.

What do you think are the most important topics for the transport industry?

I think it has to be better competitiveness, so we are looking at the total cost of ownership. All our products are supposed to help customers to save money in installations and operations. And the second one is to reduce energy consumption. So we do simulations to save energy in the operations of railways.

Could you show us some products you're representing here?

Yes. It is the Kruch hanger clamp HKL-2. It's our most important hardware product, and it's been sold millions of times already. We are trying to convince more and more customers to switch to this product to save time in installation and make the lifetime of the contact line longer. And the other one is our energy flow simulation, a computer software helping the customers simulate their network and improve it on daily basis by using it themselves and generating energy savings of more than ten per cent, which is a lot of carbon dioxide and millions of euros of traction costs.

Have you managed to take advantage of business opportunities offered by the fair so far? If so, which ones?

InnoTrans is a great exhibition and the biggest one in Europe, if not the whole world. For us, it's a must to be here, meet all the customers in person and discuss new business opportunities. It's a great, very important exhibition.
