Sustainability was the main topic of this year's Expo for several Visegrad country's representatives. Since Alstom gets mainly focused on sustainability and smart mobility, it is understandable that Alstom Chief Commercial Officer, Jerome Wallut, had something to share. He presented Alstom's vision on how digitalization and artificial intelligence make cities more sustainable by transforming their public transport. Jerome’s speech was especially appropriate in Budapest, an early user of digitalization and autonomous mobility, with its 4th metro Line - the first driver-free metro in Eastern Europe.
By improving the overall passenger experience through increased capacity, inclusive and safe journeys, the benefits of digitalization will persuade people to choose to travel by collective transport instead of in personal vehicles.
Improvement of the overall passenger experience through improved capacity, benefits of digitalization, and safe journeys get viewed by Alstom as a potential increase in demand, thus passengers favoring public transport instead of car transportation.
