VTG Project Logistics had some traffic lights turned and electrical lines disconnected for their transport of a 24-meter-long storage vessel with the transport combination of 53-meter length and weight about 150 tons in total and height of 6 meters. It was taken from Magdeburg in Lower Saxony to Schwarzheide in Brandenburg.
A large number of components are being shipped from Asia to Schwarzheide in Germany that will serve in an air separation plant that is intended for supplying process gases for the new BASF cathode active materials production plant. Once this project is completed the BASF plant will be able to supply around 400,000 electrical vehicles per year with battery materials.
VTG reports this is not the last heavy lift shipment to come as there is more planned over the next months.
