The unions operating within PKP CARGO proposed to the supervisory board that the employee representative be removed from the board. PKP CARGO was required to inform the Warsaw Stock Exchange of this decision. The unions justified their proposal by citing Kozendra's long-standing inactivity in his role. They noted that he had not been active in company management and had taken no steps in the company's restructuring, despite the board being informed of the unions' concerns.
This dissatisfaction with the union leader on the board comes against the backdrop of PKP CARGO's ongoing restructuring efforts. Up to 30% of the workforce could face layoffs, depending on the decisions of the company's interim management.
