Rail logistics company TX Logistik is increasing the number of intermodal trips between Leipzig and Verona from six to eight per week because of high market demand for rail transportation capacity. TX Logistik will provide traction and marketing services for transportation capacity.

The DUSS terminal is the starting point and destination in Leipzig. Italy is served by the Sommacampagna-Sona terminal, located slightly west of Verona, and Hall in the Tyrol. The loading capacity per train is 34 loading units, including tank containers, bulk containers and swap bodies and semi-trailers. It allows the transport of all kinds of goods, including car spare parts, recyclables, recyclable products and chemicals, and consumer goods.

The connection between Leipzig and Verona, for which demand is increasing rapidly, is part of the Brenner corridor, which is of great economic importance to the region. On this axis, TX Logistik regularly connects five points in Germany, as well as Padborg in Denmark with Northern Italy.

The rail logistics company has been steadily increasing the number of intermodal trips since 2021. Also, due to the increased demand for semi-trailer transport, TX Logistik expanded the connection between Germany and Italy last year by increasing the number of round trips on the Duisburg - Segrate route to six per week.
