Participants of the Association general meeting in Ankara reported that the cargo volume on the TITR (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) will reach 3.2 million tons, thus increasing sixfold. Container traffic is planned to increase to 50,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs).

It is facilitated by the sharp increase in demand for the trans-Caspian route, provoked by the events taking place in the world. The fact that the TITR extends from Southeast Asia and China, passing through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and on to European countries significantly increases interest in it.

Gaidar Abdikerimov, general secretary of the TITR Association, also mentioned in April that the route has long-term expansion potential, particularly through the Georgian ports of Poti and Batumi. Association representatives held negotiations with APM Terminals Poti, Pace Georgia Ltd., Constanta Sea Port Administration, DP World Constanta, Grampet, Port Gdansk, and several other transport logistics and shipping companies. During these negotiations, the parties agreed to organize and develop transport and logistics services along the TITR route, which passes through Georgian ports with export and transit cargoes from Kazakhstan, China, and Central Asian countries.
