Poland's leading private rail logistics group, CTL Logistics Group, is excited to report optimistic news about its high intermodal transport figures for 2021. According to the Office of Railway Transport, the company shows an increase in the weight transported (almost 14%), the number of containers (almost 7%), and the number of TEUs (over 5%).
Of course, the company did not do without several drawbacks, such as a decrease in freight traffic by slightly more than 7%, which is due to shorter domestic routes. Despite this, the company's management is looking forward to further challenges.
"During a few weeks and months of prosperity, we could appetite for better results of the intermodal segment in 2021. For a while, we even forgot about COVID-19, but then 2022 came, and with it, an unexpected crisis in the form of war, and everything changed. We do not yet have global intermodal market results for Q1 2022, but we know our own, we talk to the industry, and the slowdown in the development of intermodal transport has become a fact. What will happen next? Only time will tell..." comments Grzegorz Bogacki, CEO of CTL Logistics Group.
