Prospects and opportunities for the development of transhipment terminals in seaports in Gdańsk and Gdynia in the context of Ukrainian grain exports were the main topics of a meeting attended by PKP CARGO CEO Dariusz Seliga at the invitation of the Minister of Infrastructure Andrzej Adamczyk.

The meeting, first at the port in Gdansk and then in Gdynia, was attended by representatives of the management boards of both ports, PKP Polish Railway Lines and forwarders.

The transhipment capacities of the ports and their terminals were discussed, as well as the capacity of rail and road hauliers to export cereals by sea and in transit from Ukraine. A commitment was also made that another meeting would be held soon to develop guidelines for further action.

"For PKP CARGO, the topic of grain transport is crucial. That is why I accepted the Minister's invitation to today's meeting with great commitment, and I am glad to take part in such vital talks from the point of view of the country, as well as our company," said Dariusz Seliga, PKP CARGO CEO.
