The recent joint venture established by RZDL Europe, CER Cargo Holding, and Rail Cargo Hungaria will strengthen their position in forming future freight transport on the New Silk Road. To reach this desired target, these three large companies are developing a unique corridor that enables customers to use offered advantages. These joined forces enabled the development of strong connections between Europe and China.

A recent study by the UIC and the Roland Berger Institute revealed that the potential of rail freight transport between Europe and Asia is significant. The prognosis is counting on at least doubling the container capacities by 2030. This joint business will enhance the corridor and open up several opportunities for customers and carriers.

The land bridge that connects Asia and Europe holds significant importance in connecting these influential markets.  History proved that trade routes increase prosperity, economic growth and ultimately connect people, thereby helping to bridge political divides. These three partners with powerful political support have built a future-focused alliance that will make rail transport on the New Silk Road more inviting thanks to increased freight volumes.
