Cargotor of the PKP CARGO Group, manager of the Małaszewicze transhipment terminal, announced that on 29 August 2021, the new Silk Road section achieved the highest pass-through result ever.

On this day, 18 outgoing and 15 input kits left for the first time with wide-distance infrastructure, giving an average daily result of 16.5 pairs of wide-distance kits per day.

Achieving such an outcome and making it repeatable requires a strict synchronization of the activities of all participants in the logistics process and the institutional administrators and carriers involved.

When asked about the impact of the difficult situation on the Polish-Belarusian border on transport work in Małaszewicze, Cargotor CEO Andrzej Sokolewicz replied succinctly: "We are doing our job".

According to Cargotor data in the first quarter of this year. Compared to 2020, małaszewicz has increased the number of intermodal cars transported in both directions along a wide line by 70%.

The company aims to convert the Małaszewicze terminal into the most modern and largest central terminal in Europe and at the same time the main terminal on the New Silk Road route. The current capacity of the terminal is to be quadrupled.
