Last week, LTG Cargo received 436 applications for freight carriage between Lithuania and foreign countries, with 353 of them being approved after an assessment of compliance with the company's sanction control and zero-risk tolerance principles.

The company rejected 41 applications, mostly for export or import to/from Belarus, due to different complex risks, such as compliance with EU, US, UN and other sanctions, and suspended or terminated contracts, among others. Additionally, 42 applications are still pending after a more detailed assessment of the data provided by customers. The most rejected freight applications were for the transport of vegetable marc, construction goods, technical goods, containers, oil, and its products.

Since 1 March, LTG Cargo has received 2,391 freight applications, with 1,843 being approved and 506 being rejected. Most of the rejected cargo applications were for export or import to/from Belarus. To ensure sanction control, LTG Group companies prioritize Lithuania's foreign and security policy interests over business interests, responding to all possible attempts to circumvent existing international sanctions. LTG Cargo carries out detailed inspections on all cargo, collects more information from its customers, tightens its application rules, and strengthens its analytical capacity.
