Swedish railway company LKAB Malmtrafik has renewed its contract with Railcare for iron ore transportation. The transports will introduce three daily runs on the Kiruna – Svappavaara – Gällivare routes.
"These transports require high delivery reliability, and the fact that we have now received renewed confidence from LKAB is proof of our well-functioning transport operations and, of course, very gratifying," says Mattias Remahl, CEO of Railcare Group AB.
The agreement is valid until December 31, 2022, and has a value of SEK 50 million. The previous contract began in June 2020 with one train per day, was later expanded to three round-trips per day, and this contract expired on December 31, 2021.
