The challenge of sustainable steel production is affecting companies all over Europe. At the largest Czech steel producer Třinecké železárny, the first step into CO2-free production begins with a technology change in rail transport and an optimized logistics solution for the supply of iron ore.
A new stationary unloading machine will be built by Innofreight and sold to Třinecké železárny. Budamar Innovations will purchase the rolling equipment and together with Budamar Logistics handle the iron ore transport for ore suppliers. 300 InnoWaggons 2×30 ft and 1,200 MonTainers XML will be delivered by the end of the year. From 2023 ore will be transported from the Slovak-Ukrainian border to the Czech steel mill in Třinec.
Once again, a major player in the steel industry is relying on Innofreight technology to meet the demands of the future.
