GATX Rail Europe’s specialized 7182 tank railcar for transporting vinyl chlorides is in demand. In September, the company completed the handover of the newly built cars at the Inveho FWN workshop in Germany to Vestolit. A market leader in polyvinyl chloride production, the chemical giant turned to GATX teams’ expertise for this specialized type of transport.

Andreas Werle, Key Account Manager at GATX Rail Europe expressed the company’s motivation to further develop its esteemed customer relationships. “We are very happy to work with one of Europe’s front runners in raw material production, ever growing with its solid implications in numerous construction industries. It is with great pride that we embark on expanding our existing business partnership with the introduction of our latest state-of-the-art wagon models.”

Roman Grünhagen, Pressure Gas Car Expert at GATX, reaffirmed with confidence that clients will get optimal delivery performance with the tank car. “The 7182 pressure gas car is the latest example that GATX Rail Europe is a reliable railcar provider for customized tank cars. Lighter, made from P460/630-grade steel, and equipped with a self-sufficient telematics system, it is the right choice for many customers in the chemical industry. The innovative features include improved railcar safety, durability, and efficiency while simultaneously meeting all certification criteria.”
