Contargo, Europe's leading inland container logistics network, has announced the expansion of its network. From April 4, 2022, the Frankfurt-Antwerp shuttle will run once a week.
Since Russia's military invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, pressure on global supply chains has been increasing rapidly, so in addition to launching a new shuttle connecting Germany and Belgium, Contargo is increasing the frequency of the Frankfurt-Rotterdam shuttle from 2 to 3 times per week.
It is remarkable that these container rail connections are environmentally friendly and reduce CO2 emissions since they are direct connections.
Contargo integrates container shipments between Western seaports, North Sea ports in Germany, and inland Europe. The company manages container warehouses and intermediate storage at terminals and offers a wide range of container services, including local collection and delivery of containers by truck, maintenance, and repair, as well as stuffing and stripping. Contargo combines the advantages of the three modes of transport - inland shipping, road, and rail - in an integrated transport concept.
