Akiem will provide 3 Traxx DC3 locomotives to CD Cargo Poland fleet

3 Traxx DC3 locomotives have been added to the CD Cargo Poland fleet. Akiem will provide them. Based on a contract signed during the last TRAKO 2021 trade fair in Gdańsk, CD Cargo Poland has expanded its fleet with three new Traxx DC3 locomotives from the producer Alstom. The contract includes rental, including maintenance of vehicles. Akiem will provide three locomotives.

It is a series of four-axle locomotives with electric drive, adjusted for services in 3kV DC networks, meeting the latest European standards. For the needs of its transport, the ČD Cargo subsidiary in Poland acquired the E 594 model, which is the substitute of the E 483 model.

"The acquisition of Traxx locomotives from Alstom Transport will surely bring many advantages, given that the DC3 type meets most of the needs in the field of freight transport," stated CD Cargo Poland on their website.
