Metrans was responsible for the launch. This successful end of another project was one out of many that were launched this year by Metrans. The company now provides block trains connecting Budapest and Arad three times a week in both directions.

This brand-new link connects Metrans Terminal, located in Budapest to the AFLUENT terminal in southern Arad.

“We appreciate the support of terminal AFLUENT, and we are pleased that we will be able to meet the requirements of our customers with the new supplementary service,” Metrans representatives stated.

“Together with partner AFLUENT we will also develop depot activities and first/last mile trucking services. We are looking forward to further increasing our common cooperation through this route.”

Metrans is undeniably building its position in the Hungarian market. Metrans is currently constructing a new terminal, Near the more-central Zalaegerszeg location. Metrans also ensuring handling trains at their facilities by 2023

"We have just launched this new service between Budapest and Arad, but we are already working on other new services”, said Stefan Esztergalyos from Metrans.
