In the Australian state of New South Wales, 50 environmental activists were arrested after they climbed onto a coal train and began dumping the cargo from the wagons.
According to BBC, the Rising Tide protest group said it was demanding the cancellation of all new coal projects.

"We have halted coal into the world's largest coal port, demanding that the ALP [ruling Australian Labor Party] heed UN warnings and immediately cancel all new coal projects," the statement said.
Rising Tide reported that 20 protesters climbed onto the train to dump the coal with shovels, with another 30 supporting them. Police charged 47 activists with "rail corridor offences". Two other environmental activists are accused of intentional damage to property and one of assaulting a security guard.
