Roman Koreň is the new Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Železniční společnost Slovensko. In addition to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors, however, he also has a competence associated with the position of CEO of the national railway carrier. Ján Lukáč became another new member of the Board of Directors of ZSSK.
Roman Koreň and Ján Lukáč were elected to the post by the Slovak Minister of Transport, Andrej Doležal. This was based on a selection procedure. The Minister of Transport, together with the appointment of the new management, also thanked the current management, who, in his words, did a good job and thus also helped to achieve a balanced economy. Subsequently, he wished the new management a lot of energy for the next job.
Filip Hlubocký quit his position as a CEO, Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of ZSSK. Radoslav Štefánek quit as a member of the Board of Directors. Both gentlemen finished their duties as of 29 April 2021.
