PKP CARGO SERVICE sp. z o.o. has concluded its selection process for the CEO and board member role. The Supervisory Board has confirmed Zbigniew Prus for the position, and he officially took on the role effective October 30, 2024.
Zbigniew Prus is a seasoned leader in the rail transport sector, boasting 32 years of experience primarily within state-owned companies under the PKP holding structure, where he has held various roles. From the end of March until his recent appointment, he served as a PKP CARGO INTERNATIONAL board member, based in Ostrava, Czech Republic.
PKP CARGO SERVICE continues to withstand challenging conditions in the freight rail market. In the first half of 2024, the company managed to maintain overall revenue at approximately the same level as in the first half of 2023 (EUR 30.3 million), with a slight increase in profit to EUR 3.1 billion and a 1% rise in EBITDA to 13%.
