VPI European Rail Service GmbH (VERS) now offers combined ECM and ISO 9001 audits, streamlining inspections and reducing costs for workshops and wagon owners.
VPI European Rail Service GmbH (VERS) has again expanded its service offering. Since the beginning of the year, ECM audits and, as of now, ISO 9001 audits are part of their portfolio. The idea behind this is a one-stop-shop concept for workshops, maintenance facilities, and wagon owners that consolidates audit appointments through combined audits, all provided by a single source.

This approach saves companies costs and minimizes the effort associated with such appointments. Instead of guiding different auditors through the workshop multiple times and answering their questions, they can now bundle the inspections with qualified auditors and operational inspectors of VERS.
VERS currently offers, partly in cooperation with partners like DVS-Zert, the following audits and certifications individually or as combined audits:
- Technical Inspection (FtB) for working with the VPI European Maintenance Guide
- ECM Certification based on Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779
- ISO 9001 Certification for Quality Management
Coming soon:
- Certification based on DIN EN 15085-2 for welding of railway vehicles - Requirements for welding companies
"ECM and ISO certifications are an important part of our service portfolio, especially since combined audits are in high demand among our workshop customers," state VERS managing directors Joachim Wirtgen and Heiko Radke.
