Ukraine has already received more than 2.2 billion UAH of income, thanks to the assets of the Russian Federation and Belarus, which were arrested by the Bureau of Economic Security, the press service of the department reports.
"The property of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, arrested by the employees of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, is already bringing income to our state. We are talking about rolling stock and inventory," the press service of the Bureau of Economic Security reported.
In particular, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia received UAH 1.3 billion in income from the commercial use of seized railway cars and containers belonging to Russian and Belarusian companies.
The National Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has also recently sold another batch of seized ammonia. So far, three batches have already been sold for a total amount of over UAH 910 million.
Thus, the state received more than UAH 2.2 billion in revenues due to the seized assets of hostile countries (17800 railcars and more than 42 thousand tons of ammonia). These assets were seized and arrested by BES detectives from enterprises directly or indirectly related to companies or citizens of Russia and Belarus.
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine, within the framework of pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings on violations in the economic sphere, initiates the seizure of assets of Russia and Belarus (individuals and legal entities). Currently, BES detectives are conducting pre-trial investigations in 22 criminal proceedings.
