Despite the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, which hit the entire supply chain hard in previous years, and the impact of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Škoda Group will achieve stable results in 2022 with increased sales and EBITDA.

Although Škoda Group faced significant challenges related to these impacts, which will continue to be felt in 2023, it managed to increase all key financial results. Sales increased to EUR 763.7 million, up 26% year-on-year, and adjusted EBITDA rose 22% to EUR 50.2 million. At the same time, the Škoda Group launched a major transformation programme to make the company a more international and competitive player.

"Our Group is growing year on year, and we have reached many new milestones during 2022. The 22% growth in adjusted EBITDA is very positive despite the faced challenges and shows that the transformation programme launched last year has delivered early results. Across the Group, not only financial indicators have improved, but also production capacity and performance. In 2022, we delivered 213 vehicles, and production hours increased by 29% year-on-year to 4.4 million," says Didier Pfleger, CEO of the Škoda Group.

Škoda Group has undergone major changes in 2022. In February, Didier Pfleger became the Group's new CEO, and shortly afterwards, Škoda began to create a new organisational structure, define a new strategy and a transformation programme. Škoda Group opened a new office in Italy, and in early 2023, it acquired new businesses in Austria (Molinari Rail) and Belgium (The Signalling Company). In 2022, Škoda Group created more than 900 new high-value-added jobs that have a major positive impact in the regions where the Group operates.
