As the war in Ukraine persists, forcing individuals to flee affected regions and intensifying their vulnerability due to harsh winter conditions, Siemens AG and Siemens Healthineers AG are extending their aid campaign.
The companies will continue matching employee donations to Siemens Caring Hands e.V., which has raised over €12 million since the war's onset, facilitating over 60 aid projects. These initiatives include providing food, medicine, clothing, and temporary shelter for displaced Siemens employees, their families, and others in need in Ukraine.

Siemens' CEO, Roland Busch, acknowledges the ongoing need for support, particularly in medical care and essential infrastructure. Siemens Caring Hands e.V. is focusing on delivering energy, heating, and medical supplies, especially to hospitals in crisis-stricken areas that are currently lacking necessary equipment and medication. The charity is collaborating with facilities like an emergency-care hospital in the Lviv region to improve diagnosis and treatment capabilities, and planning aid projects for hospitals in six other cities, including Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Kyiv.
Siemens Caring Hands e.V. is also working with Tabletochki, the largest Ukrainian crowdfunding charity foundation, supporting children with cancer in Ukraine by procuring pharmaceuticals and medical products. Stephan Frucht, a Siemens Caring Hands board member, highlights the importance of providing consistent, targeted support to Ukrainians, countering the potential decline in assistance over time, and expresses gratitude for the ongoing commitment from Siemens and its employees.
