Samskip, TX Logistik, and duisport have initiated a collaborative venture to co-manage the intermodal transport terminal Logport III in Duisburg. The newly established organization is named Ziel Terminal, and upon approval, it will operate the combined transport terminal, which is currently under the management of Samskip Van Dieren Multimodal.
The joint venture is currently awaiting approval by the relevant European authorities. As for share ownership, Samskip will own 49.8%, while duisport and TX Logistik will each have 25.1%.

PKP CARGO has taken delivery of the first batch of twelve Dragon 2 double-system electric locomotives manufactured by New Sącz-based Newag.
The Logport III terminal currently consists of seven loading bays that can handle trains up to 720 meters long. The total area of the terminal is 140,000 m2, with a capacity of 250,000 storage units.
However, the new group plans to expand its capacity even more. Other terminal amenities include two shunting tracks, two gantry cranes for transhipment from road to rail, a control tower system, high-tech gate functions, and OCR scanning. Repairs to railway wagons are also possible at the terminals.
